NEST 2.5/3G is able to sub-divide the overall network into areas
and for each area any number of virtual access nodes can be created.
NEST aggregates different types of population into the virtual access
nodes.
Subscribers using different types of terminals are connected via
various radio technologies (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA ...).
Subscriber activity is described for the various services. NEST
2.5/3G includes a complete library for radio traffic sources (MMS,
email, WAP, WEB, Push to Talk, Video streaming, Visio ...). Each
source is built on a precise stochastic model for uplink and downlink
data packet generation.
NEST 2.5/3G simulates all theses traffics (million of subscribers)
from the subscriber end to the service platform end.
