NEST IP-MPLS, is the first plug-in
of this software suite. It implements in full the Internet and MPLS
routing protocols, DiffServ Features as well as the multimedia traffic
sources (including GPRS and UMTS radio sources) and models in detail
the routers and switches with extensible models. NEST IP-MPLS
makes possible the accurate evaluation of Quality of Service in
very large networks with up to millions of flows thanks to a patented
hybrid simulation technology.
NEST also offers a rich set of network optimization algorithms
for end-to-end QoS optimization, traffic engineering, automatic
failure analysis, network resilience optimization and optimal network
design. NEST Modelling and simulation kernel can natively run in
parallel on a computer cluster for total scalability.
