NEST 2.5/3G
NEST 2.5/3G is an integrated workbench
for simulating and planing radio networks with an IP-MPLS core
NEST 2.5/3G proposes :
- Radio source modeler for any type of new radio service or Internet
traffic
- Sophisticated population behavior activity generation
- Population type
- Traffic Matrix Generator
- Combination of several radio technologies within the same network
(GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA)
- Mobile terminal definition with coding and uplink and downlink
bandwidth
- Terminal type distributions
- SGSN and GGSN models
- Service platforms models
- Packet Network Simulation
- PDPContext simulation
- GTP Tunnels
- Load simulation of service platforms
- Resilience analysis
- IP-MPLS routing optimisation
- DNS adaptive routing algorithms
- Link cost optimisation
- Definition of data subscriber contracts
- Data Traffic Revenue estimation over an horizon time
NEST 2.5/3G proposes to decompose the network intio areas. In each
area any number of virtual acess nodes can be created. NEST aggregates
diffrent types of population into the virtual access nodes.
Subscribers use different types of terminals and are connected
via various radio technoilogies (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA ...).
Subscriber activity is described for the various services. NEST
2.5/3G proposes a complete library for traffic sources (MMS, email,
WAP, WEB, Push to Talk, Video streaming, Visio ...). Each source
is built on a precise stochastic model for uplink and downlink data
packet generation.
NEST 2.5/3G simulates all theses traffics (million of subscribers)
from the subscriber end to the service platform end.
